The unique architecture and the beautifully built iconostasis indicate that patron took orthodox Yermenians to have the monastery built. The well-preserved frescoes were done in 1622. One of the most outstanding is the fresco of St John the Baptist. Today, the monastery complex works as a nunnery. |
