Gradac Monastery

Gradac Monastery is located in the central part of Serbia, south of Kraljevo town. The monastery was built in the second half of the 13th century as an endowment of Helen of Anjou, the wife of King Uros I.

Gradac Monastery was built in the style of the Raska School but with certain Gothic architectural influence. Few frescoes have survived are similar in style to those of the Sopocani Monastery.  Gradac Monastery is functioning as a nunnery, now.
